MARNIE PITTS
I was born in Perth Australia, my family moved to Adelaide and later Melbourne. I studied art there and received a degree with a double major in drawing and painting.
Gradually I took an interest in the moving image and specialized in creating and animating special effects. I moved into Art Direction and relocated to London. I worked for large film studios and production houses as a Technical Director on movies such as Harry Potter and Batman Begins. My film bio is here. I enjoy this huge imaginary world where anything is possible and the production is grand. However it’s a world of collaboration and I needed to pursue my own images. So now that's what I do.
I have exhibited in Australia, The United Kingdom, Europe and the USA. I still live in London where I have my studio.

PLEASE NOTE:
We are currently rebuilding our website with a new theme - so temporarily this site is functional, but a construction zone.
Headers, background and certain special new functions will be built in, respectively changed. Additionally, most Slide Shows used to be embedded from our Private Social Network on Ning. Since Ning discontinued Flash some time ago, the space where the embedded slide shows supposed to be is blank!
We are working to fix this as well, but with over 500 pages for artists alone, this will take time.
