When I work in science, I feel like a scientist; when I create images, I feel like an artist; when I watch TV, I feel like a slob … Sometimes I think I should get out more.
By day, I am a neuroscientist with interests in how ageing affects cognitive function. By night, I make images. My work is an expression of my experiences to date. It is no surprise that the biological emerges as part of my conceptual continuity. Making images is my way of reflecting on thoughts and expressing them for others to enjoy … or not … as the fancy takes them. Drawing is a necessity; without it I would be quite lost.
