Artist Statement
As an artist, I want to create, fulfill, implement ideas and dreams; set characters. I count myself among the realists, often to the visionaries and surrealists. The Pre-Raphaelites I regard as my roots.
However, a strong source of my work is also Tibetan Buddhism which inspires and drives me. My Tibetan name means Thupten Dawa, I wear it as an obligation. My range is very broad, from charcoal through acrylic to oil painting, from Illustration to miniature painting, everything helps me to realize my ideas.
I am a member of the Free Tibet Association, among other reasons, because I feel connected to the great Tibetan culture and its people. Such experiences are the foundation of my artistic creation.
