CORNELIA SIMON-BACH
CORNELIA SIMON-BACH

Does the artist actually create his imagery or is his imagination in the end only a sort of magical reception apparatus, antenna and amplifier? The artist is the recipient of numerous messages, wisdoms, symbols and parables and does not know the sender. The dreamer is a bridge between sleeping and waking. He is the bridge connecting the two shores. But each by itself is only a half, until both together make a whole.
Note:
There are times when one meets a great artist, so reclusive that there is seemingly* no presence on the internet whatsoever. In 2012 I exhibited together with artist colleague Ernst Steiner and several others at the Palais Palffy in Vienna. There I met Ernst Steiner's friend, Cornelia Simon-Bach who also exhibited with us. I was blown away by her work! Since then I had been talking to Steiner off and on - we run into each other from time to time, since he lives a stone-throw from my place, in Transdanubia (a exotic sounding locale, actually in this case the 21. and 22. District of Vienna on the left-bank of the Danube). I had promised to create a page for her on our VAG website. Finally, after getting some digital images from Steiner recently, I was able to get a page started. The page is a work in progress: I am hoping to retrieve some more images from Ernst Steiner's archives.

PLEASE NOTE:
We are currently rebuilding our website with a new theme - so temporarily this site is functional, but a construction zone.
Headers, background and certain special new functions will be built in, respectively changed. Additionally, most Slide Shows used to be embedded from our Private Social Network on Ning. Since Ning discontinued Flash some time ago, the space where the embedded slide shows supposed to be is blank!
We are working to fix this as well, but with over 500 pages for artists alone, this will take time.
