FATIMA TAYLOR (AZIMOVA)

Fatima Azimova was born in 1974 in Uzbekistan, one of the former Soviet Union Republics. She studied Fine Art and Costume Design at the Benkov College of Art, where she graduated in 1993.
During the past ten years, Fatima has worked for a television film company as a cartoonist, worked as a mural painter, and in 2001 she competed in an Uzbekistan National Fashion Design show. She has completed many individual paintings and drawings.
In the United States, Fatima has worked with mural painter Robert Dafford on a few projects.

​Art is a language of thought which must be accessible to everyone. I believe that an understanding of our world, an acceptance of different cultures, an exploration and mixture of visual culture, and recognition that differences to be welcomed not rejected.

​My multicultural background has given me insight into understanding our world. I seek to explore ways to incorporate visual art, history, and current events into my paintings. My goal is to create an atmosphere that reflects my belief that differences are to be welcomed not rejected.

Dublin Area Art League's Guest Speaker, Fatima Taylor

​Fatima Taylor (Azimova), Visionary Artist, was the guest speaker for the Dublin Area Art League's January Meeting.  Fatima is a Columbus based artist who was born in Uzbekistan and works in a variety of mediums.  She presented her work, cultural influences, and creative process.
